Help us fix the worst intersection in Belfield and Strathfield South
Right now, it is extremely difficult for commuters in Belfield and Strathfield South to turn right from Burwood Rd and Water St onto Punchbowl Rd during peak hours.
The intersection currently requires right‑turning drivers to filter through oncoming traffic because there is no dedicated right‑turn arrow, which causes long delays.
The red‑light camera at the intersection further complicates the problem: drivers who are partly through the intersection when the signal changes are forced to turn and are then caught by the camera.
My office and I have been speaking to Transport for NSW for years about this. Residents want to see a dedicated right-turn arrow installed at the intersection. To help us make our case for change, please sign my petition below.
Sign my petition below to install a right-turn arrow at both intersections of Punchbowl Rd with Water St and Burwood Rd.
